A couple months back I was searching for cold pressed castor oil for my brows and hair, because genetically I have very sparse hair and I know for fact that using cold pressed castor oil on your brows and hair can make a huge difference.
So after going through all the good reviews I finally settled on the Aloe Veda cold pressed Distil Castor Oil. But also during my search I stumbled across their Distil Sweet Almond Oil. I got so happy and added it to my shopping cart as well!
For those of you who don’t know about the importance of cold pressed sweet almond oil, let me brief you on that a little:
Sweet almond oil is mainly obtained by cold pressing its seeds. It’s an excellent emollient (moisturizer) that soothes and softens the skin. Mostly it’s used for treating dehydrated and dull skin. It absorbs easily without making your skin greasy.
These kinds of oils can come ‘unrefined’ or ‘refined’. The refined oils do not have a strong smell, and are mainly used in a lot of skin care cosmetics. In the refining process the almond oil loses some of its natural properties, and hence is less effective compared with the unrefined cold pressed oils.
Cold pressed Aloe Veda Distil Sweet Almond Oil is unrefined; keeps all the natural properties active and has a strong almond smell, so its not used in making cosmetics.
A Little Advice Before You Buy:
To begin with, let me tell you that if you have inherited dark circles or under eye bags, then this oil won’t do much, so don’t waste your money. But you can always use this for keeping your skin healthy, and preventing it from getting worse in the future. On the other hand, if you’ve gotten minor dark circles from poor habits or age, then you must definitely try this oil, it will help you get rid of this problem.
How I Use It:
1. I use it at bedtime, after I apply my night cream
2. Take a few drops, massage it gently all around your eye areas and let your skin absorb it
3. You can also mix a few drops of this oil in your night creams and your sunscreen lotion, to get glowing beautiful skin
After I started using this sweet almond oil every night I noticed my under eye areas getting lighter. Earlier I always used to have puffy eyes when I woke up, and really dry under eyes skin, but both conditions have now improved. My under eye skin doesn’t look dry and dehydrated every morning, and I’ve also noticed less visible lines. I find myself applying less concealer when I’m using my makeup.
Please don’t tell me that you have oily skin and that using oil will give you breakouts!
Ok Ladies! I have super oily skin, and I’m not kidding when I tell you how sensitive and acne prone I am! But that doesn’t mean I shouldn’t moisturize my skin ever, and let it be dry like a desert! So please, if you have oily, dry, or sensitive skin, you should always moisturize and keep your skin hydrated. Your skin will never improve if it’s dehydrated and dry.
Applying facial oil will not give you breakouts! It’s a myth, so get over it. I’ve tried and tested this myself.
